Has anyone else seen this movie? I was just wondering to see if I understood this correctly.

I saw it. I didn't really get it. It wasn't really scary, though. It was more of a thriller/suspense movie rather than a horror film.

Rihito explained it to me as we were watching it, again. I cried, now that I understood it. The subject matter isn't appropriate for younger viewers, but they were so subtle about it that the film got by with just a PG-13 rating.

It was sad, not horrifying. I wish they would stop labeling thriller movies as horror. Don't you, Joker?
Anyway... there were some key words that most likely would have slipped by if you weren't paying careful attention. Those words were "precious daughter." Think about it: the man had five children (three boys and two girls). What else would make Betsy "precious" in comparison to say, John or any of the others? Also, the parts in the present day where the girl was being haunted by Betsy's ghost... well, I'm sure you could piece it together, sweetie.

Oh... Oh, that's sick! -shudder- Why didn't I notice that before?

I haven't seen it. Being from TN, I may not. I heard that it deviates alot from the true story. *tear*

Well I didn't see the movie nor do I plan to. It didn't seem like much to me when I saw the previews and stuff.

Rihito-kun had a nice long rant about "Emily Rose," too. And to blueblur, you're not missing much. And to Rihito: Why would you subject yourself and Tats to that twice?

I requested it, actually. I thought he could explain it better if we were watching it. For a change, he never heard the real story behind it, so he tried to piece it together himself.
We always see the horror movies more than once, except for Silent Hill. He actually got... fresh during Silent Hill.

Uh... You can just ignore that last part. [blush] Admittedly, I did get kind of bored during Silent Hill. But I guess it was still worth getting out of the house.

You're not helping yourself. v_v; I know what you meant. So, it was that bad?

Play the games. They are much better. The horror feels more psychological rather than physical in the games. I don't like the feeling of waiting for the monster to jump out. I much prefer the feeling of "Is there really something out there?" or "What's wrong here?"
