This is going to sound like a joke, but it's not. It's a serious question about one of my favorite characters in the series. Does Keito like women?
I told you it was going to sound like a joke, but the reason I'm asking is because I've heard all sorts of things about him, including that he's gay or a pedophile. I just want to set the records straight. Just because he doesn't like Narui romantically doesn't mean much, does it?

While it doesn't mean much that he and Narui don't have any sort of physical contact through the series, I can see how those two rumors came about. Between him and Rinne, there's a sense of hero-worship, since Rinne saved Keito's life. Keito has some sort of obligation to her because of that, and he and Rinne are good friends, too (as good of friends that an 11-year-old and "old fart" like Keito can be, anyway). As for the gay issue... um... I was really hoping this wouldn't come up, in all honesty.
What do you think (anyone)?

Well, I wanted to avoid this question for a reason. Yes, it does suggest something went on between those two, especially in Keito's reaction to having to kill Kain. And I can see how the rumor of Keito being gay could extend beyond Kain because of the way he treats Kazumi (and the fact that Kazumi blushed around him a bit at first, but that's a whole other issue that might come up later). Honestly, I don't know how to give a straight answer for this question. If you just straight out read the text, then no, he's straight (this is a male-oriented comic after all). But if you read between the lines, then you'll see a bit of subtext between Keito and Kain.

I've noticed, but I've also noticed that the way Keito says it looses that touch in English. I was thinking about more along the lines of when Kain died. The way Keito acted seemed really strange, because of his status in the group. At first he tries to keep his cool in front of his allies, but then he almost cried because he was so angry with the whole situation. That's why I think Keito at least liked Kain in a "more than just friends" way.
