To be honest, if you want to be a translator, just PM me (admin) or Kazumi (kazumi). We'll send you the password. I don't care if your Japanese skills are substandard, I don't care if you can't read Kanji (the books do have the notation) or Katakana (I will help you in this department, if need be). It's a fan translation, so it's not expected to be perfect.
