Let's discuss this sub-series of Final Fantasy. I have some questions about the more recent stuff. I know, you're not going to like this, Rihito, so I'll try not to drag you into this (this is of course assuming Tats-chan has played Dirge, too).
1. Advent Children Does it ever explain how Tseng is alive? What about when Kadaj threw the bloody I.D. cards to Rufus? It suggested that he and Elena died there, while they were recovering Jenova's remains. So, how did they just magically appear to save Rufus from his fall?
Why did Yazoo and Loz just sort of die? Did it have to do with the Geostigma? Cloud didn't seem to hurt either of them that badly, if memory serves right.
2. Dirge of Cerberus What is Omega? Is that Vice? What is the name of the big, blue(?) haired guy with the big gun? (my friend wants to know) What role does Gackt's character play (and what is his name)?
3. Crisis Core Any information on this would be nice. All I know is that it's a PSP game that is supposedly starring Zax/Zack.
4. Before Crisis Is there any chance in hell someone like Amp'ed might try to port it? Or are we going to have to plead to Square to port it to the DS or PSP once all of the chapters have been released?

Well since my nephew told me about Advent children since he watched it, he told me that somehow all the turks came back and Rufus was in a wheelchair, he said something about them using the last of their strength to save rufus. About the Yazoo and loz thing he told me since they were Sephiroth's brothers when sephiroth dies they die, it had something to do with Jenova I atleast know that much. About everything else i have no idea.

I'll bite on the Dirge questions. SPOILER ALERT! Don't read this unless you want to be spoiled.
1. Vice gained Omega because he is the host of a computer simulated Hojo. Hojo plotted most of the DGS's crap from beyond the grave. Vice was sort of a victim.
2. His name is Azul and he is part of Zvet--the elite of DGS.
3. Gackt is playing a character named Project G. He is essentially Sephiroth's big brother. (Not that he had Jenova cells, it was that Dr. Valentine and Dr. Gast created him before working with Jenova).

Rufus being there is explained. It said that he just barely survived the Weapon attack, but it's the Tseng and Elena thing that is really bugging me. "Swear on these." I remember that line distinctly, because that was the first time I wondered how Tseng could be alive.
Wait, how does Project G work? He had the creepy eyes and one wing, like Sephiroth, but he wasn't a product of Jenova? Was he a Cetra, too?

I don't think so. Project G paved the way for the JENOVA Project. Just read the reports in the game... Not that it will actually make sense.
Trust me, the story behind Dirge is like a Final Fantasy VII fan fiction gone very wrong. There isn't much value to the story, but the game play is fun. And I must admit Gackt was down right sexy in the "Crimson Soldier" get up.
I'm starting to remember Advent Children (make the pain go away!). And, if I remember right, the reason Yazoo and Loz died was because of the rain. Those two and Kadaj created the Geostigma, and when Arieth stepped up and made the rain the cure for it, it dissolved their bodies, too. Basically, they were out of time and the villians are still alive, so there's an instant plot device. I really didn't like that movie.
Yes, Tseng died in FFVII. I remember Sephiroth killed him somewhere near the time he killed Arieth. After playing that game twice, I think I'd remember something like that. So, you do bring up an excellent question.
I didn't like Arieth, and I feel like Advent Children used her as a plot device too often. In the game, she was all right. I mean, being the last Cetra... okay, I could put up with that. Everyone being after her and her doing a 180 from being helpless to super healer, I could also put up with. But her becoming a goddess that could control the realm of the living, I can't... Sorry.

So, is AC more fan fiction gone wrong? I guess another question would be "Where did Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo come from?" I get that they are clones, but what about the Reunion in VII? Sephiroth killed most of the clones, didn't he?

Hmm, I'll address the AC questions. I have haven't played the other games. About Tseng: I thought he died in the game too. But going back and playing it, I'm not so sure. Before you enter the Temple of the Ancients, you find Tseng at the entrance, and he is badly injured but you don't know why. Then when you enter the temple, you find... something that helps bend reality and see things you didn't witness... or something like that... It shows Sephiroth stabbing Tseng. I thought that had happened after we entered the temple. Since he's alive in the movie though (well, that and because Sephiroth had entered the Temple first), I'm led to assume that that was a flashback and the Turks probably came to rescue him later. You didn't see him anymore but he had been wounded pretty bad. In the movie, Kadaj does say, "Swear on these." but Vincent elaborates further after he saves Cloud at the City of the Ancients. Vincent says, "I spoke to Tseng and Elena. They had been hurt badly. They looked like they had been tortured pretty badly. I did what I could to help them, but we'll have to see..." I can only guess that they recovered. About Loz and Yazoo: In addition to the rain, I believe they were caught in huge explosion. Reno and Rude set a bomb. They gave Cloud enough time to get by but Loz and Yazoo were caught in it. I think that wounded them because of the sheer size of the explosion. As to where Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo came from, maybe there were survivors...? I don't know about that... At least, this is my understanding of the happenings...

Ah. That makes a lot more sense. And it's good to have an opinion coming from someone who actually liked the movie. (Sorry, Rihito-kun, I know you tried to help, and I thank you for that).
Thank you!

Happy to be of assistance! I fell in love with Kadaj and I was already in love with Vincent so I couldn't help but love AC. ^_^

I agree with you, littlekittysakura. Kadaj was pretty cool. Yazoo was my favorite character because he reminded me of Rihito (who is now screaming in the background as I am typing this).
Dirge of Cerberus wasn't revolutionary, and the story was barely coherent, even to fans of FFVII in this household because they changed somethings. I didn't like how they changed Lucresia, and I can assure Vincent fans who followed his story that they will hate it, too.
Gackt may end up being the only reason you'll want to play the game, Joker.

-laughs- Poor Rihito-kun. I can imagine being compared to a Square character doesn't make him feel good, but from everything I've heard about Rihito-kun in real life, that isn't hard to imagine him being like Yazoo. (It also isn't hard to imagine him being like Sudou. There, I saved your reputation, my friend).
Kadaj and Yazoo seem to be the most popular characters in that movie. I started to like Kadaj after the third time I saw it. He was interesting. I guess that's the charm of the psychopathic characters.

Well, Gackt is a good motivation to play a game. Actually Gackt is a pretty good motivation to do anything. Most people think I'm the psyochopathic one for liking Kadaj... I found him highly amusing though, and he had a good voice actor to match his personality.

Ah, but the psychopathic characters are fun. You see, that's why I like the antagonists most of the time. I heard his English voice actor actually suited him quite well. I didn't mind his Japanese voice.

He was all right. But as far as voice actors and psychotic characters, nothing can top Sudou's English voice actor at the Aviation Museum. XD
Whao.... The guy that played Sephiroth in the Japanese version plays Nanjou-kun! Small world.

Hmmm... True, that took talent. (The Japanese actor wasn't half bad with it, either.)
"Voices!Voices!Voices!Voices!Voices!" That's amusing. Why couldn't the other characters have good voice actors, too? I liked a few of them, but Shimazu, Eikichi, Jun... Tatsuya... Why? I kind of wish they would have brought back Nate's original English actor. Now, those actors had talent. (There was one female actor, one male actor for everyone except Philemon).
